I arrived to do a scheduled maintenance agreement cooling tune up on a Carrier 13 SEER 2.5 Ton Air Conditioner. I visually inspected the unit and found that the Delta T was a 13.9 which is a little low. Than I noticed the supply Ductwork all came together into one big box and could be causing some turbulence. Customer had dogs and did not want me to check the filter inside the house. Customer advised me that the filter was brand new. Refrigerant pressures and sub cool we’re within range. System appears to be operating within manufacture specs. System was operating upon my departure .
I performed diagnostic service on Goodman Air Conditioning Unit. I determined that storm has burnt contactor. I replaced OEM High Voltage Electro-Magnetic Contactor with customers approval. I cycled and monitored system. System operational and cooling at time of my departure.
I provided an estimate on a Five Star 80% 60,000 BTU Gas Furnace and a Five Star 13 SEER 3 Ton Air Conditioner. I will wait to hear from the customer on how they would like to move forward.
I provided an estimate on a Five Star Multi-Speed 2.5 Ton Electric Furnace / Fan and a Five Star 16 SEER 2.5 Ton Air Conditioner. I will wait to hear from the customer on how they want to proceed.
I re-attached main supply to furnace and braced it properly, re-attached several supply lines, and re-sealed and gaps causing air loss. I cycled the system multiple times to ensure functionality. System is operational upon departure.
